Vasily Klyukin, Architect and designer – The passions of a man who will fly into space with Leonardo di Caprio

In 2013, a new Monegasque resident Russian millionaire Vasily Klyukin, paid € 1.2 million to gravitate into space with Leonardo di Caprio in the Virgin Shuttle.

While waiting for this extraterrestrial adventure, he keeps his head in the clouds, draws skyscrapers that are real works of art, and creates sculptures in steel. These works, each formed of a sequence of independent 2D parts that he intersects intelligently, create a three-dimensional shape. Assembled without glue and without welding, these carefully formed metal panels converge to create a self-contained figure that is both flexible and robust.

A numbered copy of one of his creations “Fairy Dancing” was sold at an AMFAR charity Gala in Cannes during the Cannes Film Festival.
