Each autumn, The International SeaKeepers Society hosts its signature event, the BAL DE LA MER™ during the world's most prestigious yachting event: The Monaco Yacht Show. This exquisite gala is an annual point de reunion for SeaKeepers members, partners and other supports and provides an ideal platform for the Society to bestow its grandest honor, The SeaKeepers Award, on one meritorious individual. Past honorees include His Royal Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, Ted Danson, Walter Cronkite and Mikhail Gorbachev.
SeaKeepers Professionals Soiree at FLIBS 2010 was "All About the Data"
The event was “All About the Data” as SeaKeepers Professionals gathered to discuss the latest developments in SeaKeepers technology, including the Society’s new VDAR

Doug Houghton Appointed to Board of Directors
Congratulations, and many thanks, to Founder Doug Houghton who became the newest Director on SeaKeepers Board at its semi-annual meeting last month. Doug is President of Current Corporation, which manufactures camera systems for the global marine and coastal surveillance markets. Current Corporation also supports research-focused and eco-conscious partnerships….a recent demonstration that their Night Navigator™ systems can successfully detect and protect whales from marine vessel collision was performed in conjunction with the University of Hawaii and Hawaii Superferries. This work was featured on Discovery Channel (watch video). Congrats, Doug!
SeaKeepers 12th Annual Founders Dinner
SeaKeepers 12th Annual Founders Dinner was hosted on board founder Charlie Gallagher’s M/Y Cakewalk. The evening focused on celebrating the work and generosity of our founders. This was highlighted when Charlie Gallagher was presented with a SeaKeepers medallion, which he followed with a warm toast to SeaKeepers. (read more)
